teacher training

Twice in the last month our chapter has been involved in training teachers about gender identity and gender expression. It’s rewarding work, especially when we meet thoughtful educators who are dealing respectfully with their students.

We live in a diverse community, where people with different cultures, religions, and languages send their kids to schools which have guidelines mandated by state and local governments. How do we get everyone on the same page?

We tell our personal stories, we guide others to resources they may not know about, and we re-frame the issues so that important points don’t get overlooked.

There’s no single approach that works all the time in every situation, but if your school or community group needs help, please call on us.

You can reach us by email (pflagjerseycity@gmail.com) or by calling 571-969-3015 and leaving a voicemail. We’ll be happy to work with you!
