March roundup

Where did THAT month go? As they say about time flying...

On Wed, March 27, our vice president, Jyl Josephson, led a workshop on diversity and inclusion for 60 teachers and staff of the Jersey City Public Schools pre-K division. It was such a success they invited us back in April to work with a different group. Thank you, Jyl, for getting this project started for us!

Two nights earlier, we had our monthly meeting, with guest Courney Glashow, from Anchor Therapy in Hoboken. She spoke of her work helping families after their child comes out, and helping LGBTQ teens and adults when they face bullying or other societal pressures. It was a fascinating discussion.

In May we've been invited to share our chapter's work with Direct Energy, a company that encourages their employees to "bring their whole selves to work."

Meanwhile, the work of grant writing, networking, and fielding phone calls from all over the city continues invisibly behind the scenes.
