a busy month

It's not quite the middle of November, and yet I already see signs of Christmas everywhere. Norman Rockwell drawings show happy families gathered around tables covered with food, but for many in the LGBTQ+ community, "the holidays" are a stressful time.

If you're part of PFLAG, or consider yourself to be an ally, please reach out to your LGBTQ+ loved ones and their friends. Maybe your child feels loved and supported, but their friends might not enjoy that level of acceptance and support. Make some calls, send an invitation, set an extra place at the table. These things aren't difficult, but they need to be done!

Reminder: there's a Friendsgiving celebration in Jersey City this week, on Friday from 6-8pm at City Hall.
